don't think u need to jailbreak anything.
just call up at&t and say u have an ipad that u want to register on a new data only plan. give em the sim card number off your iphone. hopefully...they won't have a way to check that sim is actually a normal sim and not a microsim (that iPad uses)
just make sure u actually have a AT&T ipad. AT&T iPads are not cross compatible with Verizon iPads (GSM vs CDMA)
