Yes it was an interesting conversion not the plug and play I was told it was,not made easy by the fact it was auto to manual and left hand drive to right hand drive.
By the way the tank had plenty of clean fuel in it when drained I got out around 12 litres.

I would suspect it may be a wiring issue. On the V8 boards they show the underhood pinouts of the early and late car. I would look at those and make sure everything is connected accordingly.
