To answer your question...

Yes, the VR signal in the late dizzy will trigger an MS unit. You need the V3.0 board with the built-in VR conditioner circuit. The other option is to use the Veal conditioner circuit. I suspect you will have to change a few resistor values to get the signal strength and noise filtering just right. The V3.0 board has a built in pot for tuning ignition signal.

Tony's kit triggers off the negative side of the coil using a step down voltage circuit. The advantage to Tony's kit is the injector bung adapters for CIS runners.

MS2 will easily integrate spark. In some cases it is easier than MS3. The reason to go to MS3 has a lot to do with sequential fuel setup and a BUNCH more programmable outputs which are not really needed on a simple 911/930 installation. Control algorithms are nearly the same between the two systems.


btw, MSI can run spark with the Extra Code. To complete the loop Tony's kit (Which I really like) does not come with the extra code. You can easily load the firmware and wire for the extra and Extra features. But if you are going to do this you may want to consider to build your own system.
