Now that I have performed the 5 lug conversion to my 914 I would not think about doing anything else, however. . . it took me almost three years to gain the know-how, and the $$$ to do it. Before it was done I went through Rivieras, Mahles, EMPI's, stock steel, then back to Mahles looking for something I liked. The answer turned out to be 5 lug fuchs that I liked.

There are definitely some interesting options out there, and while I believe EVERY 914 should have the Porsche 5 lug, this would be an outstanding stepping stone, if not a permanent solution to the problem of the drab, skinny, and limited selection of 4x130mm wheels out there.
