Too much advance is definately a recipe for disaster! I learned the hard way last summeron the track. Mine is a 1.7 big bore but the lesson is the same. I burned two of my 9.2:1 Mahle pistons with timing set a few degrees past the 27 degree factory setting. A very expensive DE event!
