The R12S is just flat out a superior machine, IMHO. Lighter, more powerful with shockingly comfortable ergos (great seat-to-peg room) and a fantasticly engineered air/oil cooled twin with non-servo brakes. It's a great bike, no doubt.
The only reasons to buy a bcr over the R12S, IMHO, would be price or some desire to collect it (like b/c your dad raced one or something).
Get the 12. It's just "better".
PS: what he said about passengers. The 12 doesn't do passengers.
