You should check the ball cup bushing at the bottom of the shift lever and the round bushing which the rod goes through just behind it. You must remove the 4 bolts and also the two 10 mm bolts at the rear of the mount. Those bolts hold the bracket which the rod goes through and may or may not have the remains of a bushing.
