I've been looking for exhaust analyzer's so far with no luck.

I have this Delco analyzer, late 60's early 70's, and everything works except the mixture analyzer. It is a red box with a fan inside that pulls sample exhaust through the sensor. I looked into it a long time ago, and as I remember the fan works, so it must be right at the sensor.

The question is, what kind of sensor is it going to be, is it like an o2 sensor?, or was there another way they measured this in the past?

If I have some idea how it works, I've got a shot at making it go. Or it could be a lost cause, what do you think?
