Specialized seems to keep the weight spec hidden - probably not a good sign. I'm really thinking they weigh about the same. Once I get the replacement fork installed I'll weigh them, just out of curiosity.
I'm interested to see how the Specialized climbs compared to the K2. I'll ride them both a bit before making a decision. I do like the idea of disc brakes, but won't be able to try them out until the fork is in place. I'm sure the Specialized would be an easy sell on Craigslist. Don't know if the same can be said for the K2.
