I checked with a couple of people here in San Diego and they said the brackets aren't available. I don't have the rule books here at work, but I think both the PCA and SCCA competition rule books say to use the factory suppplied hardware with a steel plate to strengthen the bolt hole area. The SCCA get very technical about the belt angles, distance between bolts and even fastener strength rating. The vintage look is nice, but I would go with the modern method of hooking them up for safety. Since you mentioned a roll bar/cage the rule books are also very technical in how they should be made.
