I really love this car, and I'm hesitant to post this, but I am consistently finding myself oogling the older cars..I originally wanted something newer and more refined but I think I really want something a little more...raw? I'm more active over on Rennlist but this seems to be the spot for the older cars, so I thought I'd test the waters.
My car: early-mid year '95 C2, Grand Prix White on black (no immobilizer!). Just rolled over 95,000 miles. Clear and free title in hand. Originally a So-Cal car but has worked its way up the west coast over the years, I am owner #3. I have most records since the second owner, dating back to 2001 and ~21,000 miles if I am not mistaken; I have the name and a bad phone number for #1. This is my only car and I drive it about 50 miles a day, never a hiccup. I would classify it as a very nice driver. Oil consumption is pretty low, seems to be roughly a quart every 3000-3500 miles or so and the compression/leakdown numbers were good (I forget the numbers off the top of my head).
Low option car, but it has a couple good ones like HiFi stereo (aftermarket deck), motor sound package, and at some point someone put an LSD of some type in it according to the shop that did the PPI. All stock except for an RS clutch and Patrick Motorsports SAI plugs. I also removed the fog lights in favor of ducts as you can see in the last picture. About 6-7,000 miles ago I addressed pretty much every issue that came up on the PPI; basically a 90k service, plug wires, clutch, windshield (frame treated and painted, no more rust monster hiding under there!) and some odds and ends like new tail lights, ballast resistors, steering rack boots, all new brakes, tires, etc etc. I can supply a laundry list of everything that was addressed to anyone interested. I also have the original Cup II's with Continental DWS, the black wheels are the "summer" setup with Continental DW's.
What I would be interested in trading for: a well sorted, "needs nothing or nearly nothing" coupe with daily-drivability..or basically just an older version of my car. I like to do the occasional track day so mods can be a plus (suspension, brakes, roll bar, Recaros, et al), but a gutted race car is out of the question, as is anything with a souped up engine (need to keep it reliable, drivable, and emissions-passable!). Other than that, I'm fairly open to years, colors, etc. Corrosion sucks, so I do have a strong preference for western/southwestern cars.
Thanks!!
