Hillclimbs have always fascinated me just because they are so different from other forms of racing - no laps, no guard rails, really more like a rally than anything else.
Can't offer any advice other than to say that Excellence has had some stories on hillclimb cars over the past two years. Mainly Pikes Peaks, I think. Might want to check them out to get some background. Good luck, and watch out for cliffs!
