Just to follow-up in case anyone cares... it was not the foam! The webbing that holds the foam in place had split, and that was allowing the foam to squeeze out the bottom.

Local shop sewed in some new webbing and things are as they should be.



Well, unless you count that the seat-height lever was busted in the repair process
