163/86B is way too much for an engine without headwork, increased valve margins and some added CR. The 163/86B is a cam that has ALOT of lift, .500 to be exact and can cause some head problems if they are not set up for that much lift.
I stay in the 280is duration range for "esser" engine with smaller displacement, expecially for the street.
I Love a 163/86B as a base for my bigger engines, but I modify some aspects of them, especially lobe centers. I have another dual pattern cam, with tighter duration margins that works well for a smaller engine, ut it still has .500 lift symmetrical.
Not enough cam is WAY better than too much in a street car!
