[Venetian]

Perhaps I read to many threads and am a little confused. Yesterday idle started acting up. After it was warmed up, idle suddenly went to 2000 RPM and sometimes down to 1200 RPM. I could bring it back to normal by pulling on the gas pedal. I checked and lubed everything I could from the pedal linkage to the engine including the transmission linkages with no success. No apparent binding or bent components.

You would assume that this is a mechanical issue but when the idle microswitch connector is pulled, the idle remains constant when it should increase per the threads I have read. So, the question is: Could this be microswitch issue even though it appears to be a sticking linkage problem? I can't see how the 2 issues can be related.
