Except for me, it was an early '50's Packard... probably a 200 like this '52... definitely this color...
I'm pretty sure it was a 4DR, and my memory is of sleeping up there on that package shelf on trips from Alexandria, VA down to SC to visit grandparents.
I was 3 to 4 years old and we were travelling at night because it was cooler... the windows were down and the buffeting of the wind helped me sleep.
Later, after I was older, the old man told me that car was prone to vapor lock in hot weather, so that was another reason we made the trip at night.
