Skill speed and talent have never been enough,you didn't include the important bit,Stoner has all of those in spades but only those and hence why he's retiring.
When Rossi retires!!!,at this point in time I'd suggest he's not in control of that because Dorna need him too much and with next year GP's looking like Honda V Yamaha and no one else even more so.
The qoute I was given at Mugello 'Dorna will pay him as much as it takes to keep him in Moto GP'
