#2. I am better than Lorenzo, especially with near-identical bikes.
if you come from that perspective, then the move makes a lot of sense.
i don't think he's in it for the glory, not when there's still good money to be made.
as far as second fiddle, i'd imagine that YMC is going be exceptionally aware of the equipment offered to both riders. i doubt they'd take any chances of giving one guy something over the other, before discussing with both. YMC knows how to run in total CYA mode, so there can't be any justifiable bickering or finger pointing in regards to machinery advantages.
either way i'ts gonna be fun to watch it unfold.
makes me want to go to costco for a pallet of popcorn.

The qoute i had,add all that monster put into motorsport!!! Rossi gets more than the rest put together,it's not about money,it's not about leaving a legacy it's about him proving he can still do it.
As for Yamaha it's just about money, why turn down big bucks,Rossi's money has paid Lorenzo's wages,a little irony e'h!!!,you could have put either Dovi or Cal in,Yamaha will still win the championship, all your talking about is back up.
I take my hat off to Rossi, because I don't see him gaining anything, but jeeze he's got a lot to loose, and has done already,Rossi/Burgess the great bike developers!!!!
