I think the question should re-phrased as "What is the max displacement that a 3.0 SC case can be taken out to without compromising durability?"
You can use 100mm pistons & cylinders along with a 3.6 crank using custom rods and a lot of massage work. Larger P/C's can be installed, however there are some major compromises to be considered.
One needs a realistic budget to do all this.
