1976 911 SC, 930 Engine swap update/issues

Hi guys, so I'm plodding on with the project, have put bodywork on hold until I get the engine fired up, but that's not the bit I'm worried about.

Have got the engine and gearbox fitted into the engine bay, had to move it back by 30mm (1 inch and 3/8's) so re-fabricated the rear mount and am about to re-fabricate the gearbox mount. The only real problem I can see stopping me moving forward from here is the black air intake pipe which goes to the turbo. Now that I've shifted everything back, the space for this pipe which must have always been incredibly tight is now roughly 1 inch by 2 inches as the engine mount, pipe dropping down from the intercooler and heater pipes are in the way.

Does anyone have any good ideas how to overcome this, my first thought was to simply fit an air filter to the intake on the turbo, but I assume the vacuum is needed at the other end. So the only thought is really to cut a hole through into the wheel arch and route it that way, but would rather not add this much extra length to the pipe. So if anybody has any experience or great ideas I would be most grateful.

Many thanks for taking the time to look.
