Do you have an android device or an iPhone or iPad? You could buy a $15 OBDII Bluetooth adapter and one of the many apps that are out there.
I also really like my scangauge 2, but that does other things besides just read codes, and is probably not ideal for use as a diagnostic tool only because of the limited screen.
