Hi all-
Have owned my 1992 C2 Tip for 13 years.
In the midst of first DYI top end rebuild and I am down to the long block. Nothing unusual in any of the disassembly thus far. Pelican forums, Wayne's books & others, PET catalog, WSM all extremely helpful.
Right now, the distributor won't 'release' to come out. (Yes, I have removed the securing nut.) I get the impression from reading other 964 rebuilds it should come out pretty straight forward. I have the pulley at Z1 (not in this pic), pulled gently, moved the crank just a pinch and tried again.
I am missing anything? Any help greatly appreciated.
