Does your car use more oil in the colder months?

Curious, does your car use more, less or the same amount of oil in the colder months?

I got bum valve guides so I've been tracking my usage since I got it in June. Now that the weather got cooler, mine rarely gets hot enough to open the main thermostat to the front cooler unless I really hammer on it. It warmed up fine in the summer and got pretty darn hot a few times so the whole system appears to work as designed. (Makes it a challenge though to check the oil at a consistent temperature).

Recently it seems like my oil consumption and visible smoke has increased. Car runs the same and no other changes to my driving habits.

Anyone else have similar experiences with the seasonal change?
