I started my 88 the other day and drove for about an hour. All was fine until I got home and went to shut the car off I could not shut the engine. I removed the key and sat there for about 5 mins and the engine just kept running. All of the electrical items shut down, the tach shuts down and all lights shut down but the car keeps running. I finally pulled the coil wire to shut it down. Since this has happened I have started it several times sometimes it shuts down sometimes it does not. Has anyone ever run across this problem before? Any suggestions and what and how to check?
