I didn't test them with the multimeter. The gauge didn't peck to the max, but almost max. The connect wasn't bad. It's the senders were bad, because every time the new sender went in, it works fine for a while. I suspect the wire is short somewhere intermediately that damage the sender internal slowly. Just a guess.
