If you are going to race your car....why not get "easy care" as part of the package....
Have Al do your wheels with a satin powdercoat instead of anodized..... I've seen them (Rodd Wagner up here in Seattle did it...), and it's REALLY easy to keep clean, and the appearance is really close to the anodized finish.
Your other option is to go with Weidmans RSR finish, which is a true "matt" finish (sandblasted), anodized, and the lip can be done in the original style anodized finish....that's what's on my 67S
