The booster works when the engine is running. I would start trouble shooting. Got fluid? Crack the bleeders and see what comes out.....check the brake hoses. Could be internally swollen and blocked. Frozen master cylinder, bad bushings in the pedal cluster.....
Rubber lines and fluid are cheap and are replaceable maintenance items....
