erratic cabin temps? Hmm.
Try switching out the Bosch sensor unit (up above glovebox cubby, front left). Pretty sure that's what senses the interior temp. Could be toast. Find a friend with a later car you can swap for a day or so.
No info on clips for you, sorry.
