[Vipergrün]

What are ya'lls thoughts on hybrid bikes? I can throw street tires on my old skool diamondback apex, but want to move up. I'll never be a serious MTB rider or roadie, but there are some incredible trails to ride around here.

I plan on visiting a LBS, but want to get some thoughts.

Are there a line of components I should not even consider? Most of the bikes have Shimano 105 stuff, which seems good.

I'll probably spend 5-800 bucks....don't laugh :--)
