Confused about fel lines for CIS pump relocation
I am replacing my sway bar mounts with Wevo mounts so therefore I have read all the threads about moving the fuel pump to the front and am a little confused about fuel lines. My questions are around fuel line sizes.
I have a 1974 911S that has a later model fuel tank with the threaded return line. I have converted to Webers but have retained the Bosch CIS pump. It seems to me that there are some sizing issues with the fuel lines. Coming out of the fuel tank is the larger line (1/2 inch equivalent?) into the pump but the outlet from the pump is the smaller line (5/16 equivalent?) but into the through the body line that is back to the bigger size. Do I just use a hose adapter to increase from the smaller size coming from the the pump to the larger size going into the through the body line? Then do I do the reverse at the rear of the car, going from the larger through the body line back down to the smaller lines that run to the carbs, etc. Is there a better way to address this difference?
No one seems to have mentioned this in the other threads so any help is appreciated.
