I just used a POR kit on a 914 tank. The kit is easy enough to use and the epoxy coating goes on really thick. I had a good bit of pinhole rust in this tank and it seems to have been sealed up really well. I also epoxied the outside of the tank after removing all rust and prepping with 3m metal conditioners and detergents after the inside was sealed. Im pretty sure it will never leak again. I haven't put fuel back in this tank yet, but if I had to do this over tomorrow I would use the POR kit again. It seems like a good product.

This will give you an idea of how rusty the tank was. This was after filling it with water so I could safely cut a hole for the filler neck:



Here is a shot of the inside after the treatment. You can't see the edge of the cut real real well here, but the epoxy is at least 1/16" thick on the inside.
