In my design opinion, a lot of those modifications make the car look too heavy. Big rockers, big bumpers, all tend to 'weigh' the car down. Not my cup of tea, but surely someone's.

I'm not a purist. However, most times the factory does a better job than someone else claiming to be a car artiste'.

The overall expression and intent of car is important. Some of these try to make the lines so smooth and they get lost. The shoulders, beltline and 'chin' are some of the most prominent features on this car.

Panel gaps too, even. Good car designers take time designing where the panel gaps go so that they complement the lines of the car. The 968 is a good example of this. Think of a kid's coloring book - the panel gaps define the car sometimes, not the outline.

Drift - are those Simmons wheels on your car?
