You should be able the remove the fuel pump relay and place a jumper wire on two of the pins to check to see if it's the pump. I wish I new which pins. Nine y/o bike with 700 miles. I can do that in one day. When you say you ride it to keep fresh, I would not ride less than 10 miles or more per ride.
