Well, well, well, I've watched all sorts of people come & go here, myself included when I sold my S and yet, here I am. I couldn't help but notice that we joined this board at about the same time, which was a long time ago! I rode my S for 9 years and put about 80K on the clock. Perhaps like me and others you'll hang from time to time (I can't believe you'll quit completely before making 10K posts
) . I've enjoyed meeting you in person and also enjoyed our off-topic discussions.
As for making your own lumber, I started doing that about 6 years ago. I took the poor man's route and bought a chain-saw mill (
Portable sawmills, chainsaw sawmill and mobile wood mill at Logosol!). These things really work.
