I have a 1980 SC with a broken head stud (that recently developed the dreaded playing cards on spokes noise) + a partially rusted 69E with a running 2.0 litre engine (with webers).
I am considering transplanting the 2.0 litre engine from the 69 into the SC to allow some spring / summer driving while my 17 year old son and I rebuild the SC's engine.
I have searched but have been unable to find any info or advice on transplanting a 2.0 litre into a SC body. Any advice or tips? I assuming that fuel and electrical interfacing will be the main issues.
Also, I should know the answer to this, but will the 2.0 litre engine work with the SC's gearbox? The 2.0 litre engine has a brand new clutch
