G28 means 928 manual transmission
05 is the version, as said common in 80-82.
12 is the differential type code, I forget what means what but can indicate LSD or optional gear ratio.
11c11211 is the serial number.

Its an early syncro style transmission, usually needs rebuilding, not as desirable as newer ones for both reasons. Still has some value even if its just a core as long as you don't see any obvious damage.
