Central locking issues, key in drivers door lock won't lock, but it will unlock (if I sit inside, shut the door and lock it from inside and then reach out the window with the key and unlock it from the outside) not ideal
Anyway, with the door card off I can see the lever that the key turning dog engages with the door lock mechanism and unlocks.
But all the pictures show a projection on the other side that the key dog can engage to lock it, (sort of looks like 2 horns) but it isn't there on my one, and that seems to me why the car can't lock.
But if the key was only supposed to operate an electrical switch (has a big white wire going to it) and have the central locking mech do the work of locking the door, that would mean there is no requirement for the key to mechanically lock the door?
So, should the key turn a projection in the door lock to cause it to lock, or is it done by 12v power?
Thanks
Top is unlocked position, bottom is locked, see that the key dog can engage and do something only in the locked postion, otherwise its kinda floating in space!
