I figured it out late this morning by looking under the fender up at the hole exiting the filler area and saw the fitting going back in through the fender. But what doesn't make sense...is that this is the overflow. Why send it back to the charcoal canister and then the expansion tank? What if the shutoff on the gas station pump is bad, won't the system just fill up the charcoal filter and the expansion tank?

In that case I would rather have it draining to the ground.
