I actually only paid $12k for it last April at an estate auction - impulse buy! I was looking for a 964 for a while, then this deal came up and I couldn't resist, thinking I could sink a few weekends and $5/6k into it and have a decent 964 for $17k. Problem is I work to much and on the weekends I need to spend time with the family, so I haven't had the time or motivaiton to work on it.
To be completely honest I would settle for just making my money back ($12k), even though I know prices have risen quite a bit in the last 18 months. I don't need the money, and would probably just sink the proceeds back into another porsche with less issues (i.e. something a bit more "turn-key", maybe a Boxster S).
