djnolan - I really think it is ok. The observable problems are yes that return line, maybe some line on the left side. I am interested in new parts for as many things as possible. It can lead to trouble, like here possibly.
But the hose that goes way up the filler will need help - it was misery to work it off, probably should have been cut - the filler is apparently aluminum, and thin.
... Ok after some poking it appears that some type of silicone lube like Sil-glyde or a Dow-Corning product is what to look at... silglyde is in NAPA, not sure if this is what to use in a fuel system.
