No you don't see it listed in your brochure or COA, no surprise. Porsche, like most small manufacturers of the time, used what the supplier had available to them.. so if the thickness differed but the color was consistent... you can bet they went with it. Remember, this isn't and engineering issue, nor did it affect the look and the feel of the "units" being produced.
I too have seen both the thick stuff and the thinner material and its all referred to as silver knit.
