If its the Australian 32v in 86 those got a lower compression piston, 9.3 vs 10.1, but otherwise I think the motors are the same as the US 86 32v. Down a bit on HP, but I have heard they are good for torque.
Similar things could be done to them as to the US model, but some bits may need to be different. Before buying any parts I would double check that they work on your model.
Motor ID would be M28/ 45 or 46, found on a flat spot at the top/front of the block below the hose going to the radiator.
