SCENARIO: Alcoholic, 60+ y/o neighbor looses her job after her 3rd DUI a while back. Being who she is, cannot find employment, decides to have her daughter move in. She comes toting 4 children, all from different fathers, and the most recent "baby daddy". Aside from their volume level (car steroes blaring obscene music at all times of the day) they have been pretty low key and respectable people to interact with.
In the last 2 months, the prospectus has changed... The baby daddy, who never worked, and has bragged to me about collecting is now running quite the lucrative street pharmacy.
Am I concerned about the drugs themselves, no. My concern lies with the less than desirable individuals now frequenting the neighborhood. Seriously interesting looking characters, usually coming in car loads. Not to mention the little kids in the house while all this is taking place. I'll be bringing home a newborn in 2 months as well.
INQUIRY: Keeping in mind I'm not looking for a war here, what would you do? Call the cops, approach him, make it known I know whats going down but don't take action?
ASIDE: A number of other neighbors I've spoken with (the ones who don't judge me for being a Porsche owner
) see exactly what is going on and just don't want to face it.
