Lets say it's not 'shopped. Just as unlikely this shot was, maybe the arrow initially went further in. Then Bambi is running through the woods and it gets bumped around by trees or brush. Maybe it was snagged in some brush by the flight end and the deer thrashed about to free itself and in the process pulled on the arrow.
