That's a pretty small doe to be drawing on,,,,
I grew up hunting everything from squirrel to deer but, it was primarily supplementing the table. None of the men in my extended family hunted for sport per se. Neither my father nor I hunted bow but, one of my uncles did.
I have mixed feelings about the bow. If done right it's more humane. Other than feeling the initial impact (which is less), the trauma on the animal is much less in terms of pain and stress (gunshots).
On the other hand, I'm convinced more injured deer are lost as a result of the bow than a firearm.
Looks to me like the arrow penetrated right behind the rear molars, totally believable.
