You don't adjust the fuel mixture on the fly. Use some common sense for solving simple problems. You might need to adjust the fuel mixture but check for vacuum/air leak first. Fuel mixture setting does not change unless there is a reason like low fuel pressure or unmetered air. Look for the cause of the problem and start from there.
