i never lowered the body. i always jsut used a floor jack, never had the dollies back then.
i converted mine to a 6 so it was always a little tricky getting the carbs past the body.
just put the motor back on the jack.
now i use a tranny jack. BEST thing ever. the plate on the jack is adjustable left/right front/back to match the angle of the car. plus you can push it any direction it needs to go.
my problem is my tranny jack is waay too big. i cant get any cars hi enough to get what ever out form under while on the jack.
