Innovate has a clamp that samples the stream at the tip. It works perfectly well with a collector that inserts up the tail pipe. Very popular for accurate reading and tuning with professional dyno operators.

I have tried it with the collector. Works sort of OK on the dyno. Does not work on the road where you want to test.....due to air mixing with the sample at the tip.
Been there done that.
Ideally you want to test on the road with your driving cycle and then study the data.
