The leak looks like one of those very thin casting areas that can weep oil thru. There is a service bulletin that gets posted when oil cooler leaks come up. Normally when rebuilding, they'd are cleaned and filled with JB Weld or similar epoxy. You can clean, clean, clean it and do that to try to stop it.

That looks like a lot of metal on the drain plug. Never had and SC with high mileage tho.
