Seller accept offers but they sit on it and wait for more offers to come in after an open house, then comes back with this as their counter " We have too many offers on the house, please submit your best and final". Buyers heart starts to pound a little and someone will over bid. For those that have been trying to buy, many will find out houses (around here) have been selling for way over the asking. Some agents purposely list them below the market to gain interest and the bidding war begins.

I know that's the way it is... now.
